Jeep Liberty Hard Spare Tire Cover

Posted by Randy M. on 14th Jul 2021

Both works and looks great. Nice to see something like this now available to replace my original factory soft cover -- which had shrunk to the point where it could not be zipped closed. I am hoping the thread used to sew the hard cover to the soft wrap holds up to sun/weather.

Boomerang has been designing and manufacturing premium tire covers in Colorado since 1995. We are the only American company to offer both aftermarket Soft and Hard Shell tire covers for vehicles including the Ford Bronco, Jeep Wrangler, Land Rover Defender and Hummer. We use only the finest raw materials including premium engineered OEM automotive tire cover vinyl (not cheap marine grade vinyl). You can buy with confidence because you are buying directly from the manufacturer and Boomerang offers an industry leading 3-year warranty on all our products.

Boomerang is the only company to offer an injection molded, three-piece Camera Port for the Ford Bronco. Unlike misleading claims from competitors, Boomerang designed and engineered our Camera Port specifically for the Ford Bronco back-up camera. Our exclusive patent-pending design is the only available Camera Port that features a molded rubber liner that seals ours tire covers (both soft and hard shell) securely to the camera stem providing a clean finished look while keeping moisture and debris out.
This is another reason why Boomerang Bronco tire covers are simply the best available tire covers available.

We offer two categories of hard tire covers with our MasterSeries and Rigid product lines.

Our MasterSeries tire covers are our top-of-the line fully hard-shell tire covers. They feature a painted-to match molded thermoplastic face and a locking stainless-steel ring that is available in 3 finishes: Polished stainless, black-textured power coat, or fully painted-to match.
The Rigid series features the same molded thermoplastic face that is instead sewn to a heavy-duty automotive grade vinyl band that covers the tire tread. Rigid covers are available in painted-to-match or black textured, with or without printed graphics.

Our tire covers are 100% compatible with the High Altitude edition Jeep Wrangler. However, you must first remove the factory installed drip pan that is located under the spare tire. The drip pan is to keep tire oils from dripping on the color-matched bumper. Your Boomerang tire cover will perform this same function. To remove the drip pan, first remove the spare tire from the spare tire carrier, then the drip pan will easily slide off. After the pan is removed, reinstall your spare tire and new Boomerang tire cover!

-Locate the Tire Information: The tire size information is located on the side of your tire, and it's referred to as the tire code. It typically looks something like this: P215/65R15.

-Decode the Tire Information: This series of letters and numbers may seem confusing at first, but they all have specific meanings:

  • 215: This is the tire width in millimeters, measured from sidewall to sidewall.
  • 65: This is the aspect ratio. It's the ratio of the height of the tire's cross-section to its width. The number '65' means that the height is equal to 65% of the tire's width.
  • R: This letter stands for radial, which means the layers of fabric run radially across the tire. This is standard for most automobiles.
  • 15: This is the wheel diameter, or the size of the wheel measured from one end to the other. It tells you the size of the wheel that the tire is intended to fit. The number '15' means the tire is designed to fit on a wheel with a 15-inch diameter.

-Check the Door Jamb: Alternatively, if you haven’t made any modifications to your stock tires, you may be able to find tire size information on a sticker inside the driver-side door jamb or the glove box door.

Because your color-matched tire cover is custom painted to order it is important to choose the correct color code for your vehicle.

If you are still unable to locate your color or your vehcle is not listed here, please contact us for assistance.

We have tire covers that will fit all non-back-up camera specific spare tires and guarantee our back-up camera tire covers will work properly with all original equipment factory spare tire/wheels. However, aftermarket wheels and tires may or may not be compatible with our back-up camera specific tire covers for the Jeep Wrangler JL and Ford Bronco, especially if your aftermarket wheels have an offset that results in the back up camera being set back further in the wheel.

Orders for most of our stock (unpainted) items will generally ship within 48 business hours. Because painted-to-match Rigid and MasterSeries tire covers are custom painted to order, please allow 2-3 weeks to complete your order. This time can vary depending on seasonal demand so please be patient. We promise it will be worth the wait.

Our MasterSeries hard shell tire covers come standard with a keyed locking latch. Tire cover lock kits are available for our Rigid and Soft tire covers but must be ordered at the same time.

There have been isolated incidents of soft covers being sucked off by HIGH power car washes but never a MasterSeries. So the short answer is NO, you do not need to remove your tire cover when you wash your vehicle.

Our tire covers are designed to look fantastic and install easily. Installation varies between our soft, Rigid and MasterSeries tire covers and between different vehicle makes. Please visit our Installation Video gallery to find an installation video specific to your vehicle and Boomerang Tire Cover.

Of course we do! And we design and manufacture them in the USA!
